Road Crashes

Road Crashes
Traffic accidents are the leading cause  of children's death aged fourteen and younger. The Ministry of Interior prohibits children younger than ten years from sitting in the front seat, but they still do so. Authority must make an effort towards child car seat safety, inform, and advise the people with kids to strap their children to a car seat. Lack of proper seating and proper strapping has a big impact on the traffic injury and death rate in the UAE. Car seats absorb the actual crash force, take it away from the child, and reduce risks. All the children should sit in the back of the car, and all ages of children should have proper booster seats. Weight and age are factors to consider when choosing the appropriate child car seat. Booster seats reduce the risk of injury for children. People are unaware of how injuries and deaths can come from a family member holding the child rather than a seat belt. Unawareness is the reason parents don't have their children in car seats in the UAE. Educating children about road safety and good habits are actions to promote road and child safety. Giving out the free car seats will encourage people to use them. In the last few years there has been an increase in child car seat sales.
